Black carbon emissions in Asia report coverBlack carbon is now considered to be the second- or third-strongest contributor to anthropogenic global warming, and Asia is the world’s largest emitter of black carbon from contained sources such as cook stoves and engines. This report looks at the principal sources of black carbon emissions in Asia, and investigates the most immediate opportunities for reducing these emissions and mitigating their impact. The report contains detailed findings and recommendations of interest to regional policymakers, donors, climate experts and development professionals.
